Team & Project Workspaces
Keep each job's point clouds, drawings, models and imagery in one project, with roles for colleagues and share links for clients. Start with a listed SkyGIS Viewer plan, which covers 1–10 users and 5 GB–1 TB, or ask for a custom Viewer package if you need more.
- Viewer users
- 1–10 on listed plans; larger teams by custom quote
- Storage
- 5 GB–1 TB on listed plans; more by custom quote
- Outside access
- Share links, no account needed
Choose a Viewer package for your team
The listed plans are a starting point. If your team or storage needs go beyond them, we can quote a custom Viewer package.
Listed Viewer plans
Free, Starter, Team and Business each come with a set number of users and a storage allowance. Choose one if it fits your team and your data.
Custom Viewer packages
Need more than 10 users, more than 1 TB of storage, or a different combination? Tell us your team size and expected data volumes, and we'll prepare an individual quote.
How organisations, projects and folders fit together
- Organisation
- Your company's account. Members, roles and pending invitations are managed in organisation settings. If you belong to more than one organisation, you can switch between them.
- Roles
- Each member's role sets whether they can review a project, edit it or administer the organisation.
- Project
- One job or site. Point clouds, CAD and GIS layers, IFC and LandXML models, orthophotos and panoramas in one scene, in the project's coordinate system.
- Folders
- Group layers inside a project. Repeat surveys work well as one folder per capture date.
- Dashboard
- Lists the organisation's projects, so colleagues open the job from one place rather than from a shared drive.
- Share links
- For anyone outside the organisation. A link opens one project in a browser without an account.
Example
A construction site surveyed every month
A contractor's survey team scans a site at the start of each month. Every capture goes into the same project, in a folder named by its date, next to the design model and the site boundary drawing.
Once the April scan has processed, everyone with access to the project can open it. The project manager switches the March and April folders on and off to see what has been built, and measures the new slab edge without asking anyone for a file. Nobody posts a hard drive or wonders which download is the latest.
If the contractor has several site teams and a growing archive of surveys, a custom Viewer package can cover the extra users and storage.
- Projects
- One for the whole site
- Folders
- One per capture date
Archiving finished projects (Pro)
On Pro, archive moves a project you no longer use day to day into cold storage, which costs a fraction of active storage to keep.
Restoring it isn't instant. It takes hours rather than minutes, and the project's share links are reset. If a client wants to look at an old job again, start the restore well before the meeting and send new links afterwards.
Questions
How many users can I add to a SkyGIS plan?
The listed Viewer plans include one user on Free, three on Starter, five on Team and ten on Business. If you need more users or a different combination of users and storage, contact us for a custom Viewer quote.
Can we get more than 1 TB of storage?
Yes. The listed Viewer packages range from 5 GB on Free to 1 TB on Business, and larger storage allowances are available with custom pricing. Tell us how much data you expect to keep and how many people need access so we can quote a package that fits.
Do we need Pro just to add more users or storage?
No. Larger teams and storage requirements can be covered by a custom Viewer package. Choose Pro when you also need its analysis, processing and editing tools; Pro pricing is tailored to your team and workflows too.
Do clients and subcontractors need to join our organisation?
No. People outside your organisation open a project through a share link, without an account. Invite colleagues as members when they work on the project regularly.
Can we control what each colleague can do?
Yes. Each member has a role that sets whether they can review a project, edit it or administer the organisation.
What happens to projects once a job is finished?
On Pro you can archive them to cold storage, which costs a fraction of active storage. Restoring takes hours and resets the share links, so start well before a client needs the project again.
